Boot does not open with key fob – 30-12-2011,06:23 PM Hi All
A4 sline 2006. I bought this car and the boothas never opened with one click of the boot button on the key fob. I always have to double pres the open door button which opens all the doors including the boot, has anyon else had this issue, has the key fob been mapped not to open the boot?

Re: Boot does not open with key fob – 30-12-2011,06:34 PM The middle button has to be held for approx 2 seconds to unlock the boot.....so it's not quite the same as unlocking the doors.
Note that when you press and hold the middle button, the boot unclicks allowing you to open it, but the alarm, as far as I know stays armed within the car. It certainly doesn't unlock the doors.

I.m sure I have tried this before as i had seen this on a forum, will give it another go as on my way out shortly, will ley you know, i'll keep it pessed in for 2 seconds and listen for the click.

no indicator flash.
the boot just pops a fraction...almost an unnoticeable amount...but you can hear it.I'm guessing a couple of seconds....it's definitely not just a press like the doors....press and hold for a short period of a few seconds while next to the boot...it should click and that's it open.

It is in the manual.A4 2.5 tdi QS (mapped)

Kite - I didn't know about the key position. I thought it was sprung and always returned to the original position. Have to admit though, I've rarely used it thanks to the remote central locking.
